Linda Silvestri (Linda “Lela” Campos) September 30, 1949 – September 26, 2026

Linda Silvestri passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Carpinteria to David and Sarah Campos, Linda graduated from Carpinteria High School and worked for the Santa Barbara News-Press for many years. Throughout her life, she selflessly devoted herself to helping others, touching many lives with her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Kristen Blue Silvestri. She is survived by her brother, David; her sisters, Vickie and Rosemary; her daughter, Jessica; her granddaughter, Aleah; her great-grandson, J.R., many beloved nieces and a nephew. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Linda are invited to join us in honoring and remembering her.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Carpinteria. A Mass and Funeral Service will also be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Carpinteria. A graveside service and reception will follow at Carpinteria Cemetery.
