Obituary

It is with heavy hearts, we share the news of the sudden passing of Heriberto "Beto" Razo Rodriguez on August 17, 2024, in Santa Barbara, CA. He was born on January 18, 1977, in Mexicali, Mexico, to Elvira Rodriguez  and Heriberto Razo. He graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in 1996 and was known for his diverse passions and interests in astrology, Star Wars, Godzilla, dinosaurs, Daredevil, Deadpool, and the rich history of Mexico. His love for the Aztec Calendar and his pride in his Mexican heritage were integral parts of who he was. A fan of the Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers, and especially Kobe Bryant, he enjoyed sharing his interests with others. Despite not being a soccer enthusiast, he supported the Chivas with his mother. His family will hold close the fond memories of him and his infectious smile, his caring heart, his joyous laughter, and big bear hugs.

He is survived by his daughter Aurelia, son Joaquin, mother Elvira, father Heriberto, sisters Lorena (Martin) Renteria and Guisel (Martin) Razo, brother Jorge Pacheco, and his nieces, Alejandra (Paco), Veronica, Ariana, Alexis, Sofia, Freya, and Seylah, and nephews Adan, Isaia, Aaron, and Lucas.

Services to honor Beto will be held at St. Raphael's Church, 5444 Hollister Ave, Goleta, CA 93111. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 7pm, and the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 29th at 10am. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
