It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heriberta "Eri" Montes Rubio, Our beloved mom, wife, aunt, daughter, sister  on June 21, 2025 at the age of 42.

Eri was an amazing wife and Mother to 1 son, her priority was always her son and her family, her dedication to helping others in need will never go without being recognized. She loved to go on walks with her son and visit restaurants with family. Eri was born on March 16, 1984 in Santa Teresa, Guerrero to Abundio Montes and Honoria Rubio. Eri Came to Goleta, where she went to school at Isla Vista Elementary school, then Goleta Valley junior high school, and Graduating from San Marcos High School. Eri was married to Gelacio Trujillo in 2019 and was blessed with an amazing son, Alejandro Trujillo. Eri is survived by her Husband, Gelacio Trujillo; Her son, Alejandro Trujillo; Mother, Honoria Rubio; Father, Abundio Montes and Brothers, Abundio Montes (Chino), Honorio Montes, Martin Montes,  Jose Montes, Silverio Montes,Galdino Montes, Sister Minda Montes. Eri was a strong, confident woman who always stayed firm in her ethical convictions, she was compassionate and generous and very selfless.

The family would like to thank everyone who has helped with her funeral services and has been there for the family in this hard time of need.

Es Con gran tristeza que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Heriberta "Eri" Montes Rubio, nuestra querida madre, esposa, tía, hija y hermana, el 21 de junio de 2025 a la edad de 42 años.

Eri fue una esposa y madre increíble de un hijo. Su prioridad siempre fue su hijo y su familia; su dedicación a ayudar a los necesitados siempre será reconocida. Le encantaba pasear con su hijo y visitar restaurantes y familia. Eri nació el 16 de marzo de 1984 en Santa Teresa, Guerrero, hija de Abundio Montes y Honoria Rubio. Eri llegó a Goleta, donde estudió en la escuela primaria Isla Vista, luego en la escuela secundaria Goleta Valley y se graduó de la preparatoria San Marcos. Eri se casó con Gelacio Trujillo en 2019 y tuvo la suerte de tener un hijo maravilloso, Alejandro Trujillo. A Eri le sobreviven su esposo, Gelacio Trujillo; Su hijo, Alejandro Trujillo; su madre, Honoria Rubio; su padre, Abundio Montes y sus hermanos, Abundio Montes (Chino), Honorio Montes, Martín Montes, José Montes, Silverio Montes, Galdino Montes y su hermana Minda Montes. Eri fue una mujer fuerte y segura de sí misma, siempre firme en sus convicciones éticas; era compasiva, generosa y muy desinteresada.

La familia agradece a todos los que han colaborado con sus servicios funerarios y han estado presentes en estos momentos difíciles.
