Anthony Michael Muñoz Sr.
Anthony Michael Muñoz, lovingly known as “Tony” or “Peanut,” was born on December 23, 1964, in Santa Barbara, California, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 9, 2026. Tony was a father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Tony attended local schools. He spent much of his life in the community he proudly called home. Tony had a strong work ethic and spent many years doing what he enjoyed— building and repairing fireplaces and detailing cars and eventually owning and operating his own auto detailing business. Tony’s children were the center of his heart and brought him immense pride and joy. He cherished time spent with his family.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Theresa Muñoz (Saucedo); his beloved son, Anthony Michael Muñoz Jr.; and his nephew, Ernesto “Huero” Corral. He is survived by his children, Salina (Griselda), Isaac (Danielle), and Amanda; the mother of his children, Yvonne Torres; his seven grandchildren, Naomi, Sophia, Malia, Brandon, Luke, Makena, and Lily; and his siblings, Rachel Sancha (Augie), Yvonne Bond (Dave), and Yolanda Flores (Gus). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Serenity House for their gentle care, compassion, and kindness shown to Tony and his family during his final days. Tony will be remembered for his love for his family and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
